Paint It Black

The mysterious artist known as B3 opens a door for us in the 18b Arts District. This piece is quite rich in detail and a ton of possible hidden meanings.....Or is that just us reading into stuff? Well anyway, this hand drawn piece looks like it took a bit of time to finish. It is always a great to see an artist takes their time on an illegal piece, be it paint, paste or ink. We enjoy it all and this piece is no different.

Paint By Numbers

We found this "caged bird" piece glued (we guess, we didn't try to pull on it) to a wall in the 18b Arts District. A small white canvas with a straight up store bought stenciled image on it, the word POP written on it, colored dots and a wax seal for some reason. The unknown artist signed it before they left it, but we can't even read that signature. A mash up of styles, techniques and colors. Kinda has a childlike innocence to it though, hope that is what they were going for.

Street Clip Art

We recently came across these flyers pasted all over an electrical box with existing artwork. A rather nice job of capping everyone but a pretty damn piss poor attempt at artwork. The only thing we can figure out is that they are trying to be witty with a pasted "wet paint" sign, and maybe they are taking the joke even further with that ridiculously shitty clip art. Kudos if you are trying to make crap artwork to make some enlightened statement about art in general, but we are guessing... Probably not.

Combo Hits

Indecline and 4matr get some combo hits off Main St. in the 18b. From what we've seen, these two have been on a West Coast mission hitting everything in sight! Indecline with their walking business devilman and 4matr with color images of Micky Mouse's fist holding cash, with his logo tiled in the background. These two pieces are large, clean and look damn good, not only cuz they are pretty much the only pieces on this street. But cuz they are quality, something that wins over quantity every damn time. Well, with us that is.

Spray Paste

We recently came across this image of a Montana Hardcore 2 spraycan pasted to an old 18b electrical box. Yup, you read that right. A wheatpasted image of a spraycan! To top it all off, this is an image straight from an online catalog that hasn't been altered in the slightest. Well, unless you count those Sharpie tags. Kind of an interesting choice to leave the clear cap on the can, still feels like an advertisement with the stock image though.

To Boldly Paste

The ever elusive artist known as Zork returns to the 18b Arts District with a new and larger piece than seen previously. Zork definitely puts in the time and effort with his street artwork, artists usually print an image this size or tile two images to achieve this size. But Zork's pieces can consist of anywhere from 4 to 10 separate images tiled together to make a larger piece. We love this image of the floating astronaut and the use of an existing (or is it new?) spraypainted black line to simulate an astronaut's umbilical cord. Zork is really stepping up his game, great stuff!

Red, White and Dekoe

Dekoe gets a little high in the 18b Arts District with a new piece between The Teacher/Thrashbird collab and Milk the Bunny's older piece. Using his icon gritted teeth face for a multicolor and to us a decidedly more patriotic looking image this time. The wheatpaste even yellowed in the heat and sunlight, which somehow makes it look even MORE patriotic to us. Sorta reminds us if Dekoe was doing street art in the last Bioshock game or something, hmmmm at least to our nerdy gaming eyes it does. Cool piece either way!

United in Paste

The street art duo You Killed Me First and There She Is return to the18b Arts District with new and colorful pieces, above a Shye Bunnysuit image that is ripped and wasting away in the sun. YKMF with a stylized street sign takeover of the Clark County Indexing signs, been stuck in traffic lately? Then you know exactly what sign we mean! There She Is offers up something new with her take on a Circus Sideshow image of the "Two Faced Man". Both artists originally hailing from Los Angeles before relocating to Las Vegas, are always seen together on the streets and even sometimes in fine art galleries. The couple that pastes together, apparently stays together!

Climbing Back

Indecline has made a huge comeback since this past February, after posting a video on YouTube to let us all know they are "Off Probation / Back in Business". Since then, they have been getting back to absolutely killing walls with wheatpaste, stickers and spraypaint in Vegas and beyond. This recently found sticker in a restaurant parking lot off The Strip looks like its been baking since they went on hiatus. With Indecline now back in action, you can bet your ass that you won't be able to look left, right, up or down without seeing their logo. Kick ass!

La-Di-Frickin-Dali

Another couple of unknown artist Dali pasters found hanging out on the 18b corner of Casino & California. But the real mystery is, who the hell is putting up these #solart and #lunaart pieces?! We've been seeing them for awhile now but still don't know who is putting them up? We've (of course) checked the hashtag and it just takes us to mystical looking sun and moon art, which I guess is what they are technicality getting up with. We just wished we knew who was putting them up to give them proper credit, so til next time!....

Crowded Corner

LaRON Emcee brings his collection of Gary Everywhere stickers to the 18b Arts District. We're not sure of the exact identities of these guys or what his Gary Everywhere series actually means, but we do know that these are some damn solid handpainted images on these stickers. We are more familiar with LaRON's brightly painted pupiless eyed characters, but this just shows us a whole new side of his artwork. Pretty cool!

Dog Days

More pieces located from Milk the Bunny and Danman's recent street art collab and mission. This time we found a set of pieces, with each one focusing on each of the artists characters. Danman with his black and white Batman looking little guy, with the addition of Milk the Bunny's trademark ears and an eye popping combo of pink and yellow make this piece jump off the wall. Combined with MTB's portrait of an adorable dog with ears floating on a cloud above, make this a fun, polished and well done artwork collab. Kudos!

Get Faded

We ran across these these two piece on a telephone pole, in the back alley behind the Maser Motel. Another cool zombie sticker from NVAZN and an older piece from Visual Bluff that looks like its been there awhile. Or at least long enough to make it look old and weathered naturally. A lot of artists work hard to achieve an vintage effect like that on their artwork, and I guess all you need is the sun! ....and well, a few long ass months baking in the sun never hurts either!

The Hobo Code

Alexander Skyski gets up with some cryptic collage artwork in the 18b Arts District. Two colorful cut out letters with the text "66 Hobos" written on them. An E with "E is for every artist" on it, and to the left an N with all kinds of stuff on it. Nothing starting N strangely enough, but it does have the gem "don't let the TV fuk you" written on it. Joined by a collage of a woman on a colorful multi-patterned background Not a clue what they mean or what the hell this is all about, so.. We'll just go with cryptic, yeah?
