Undead Invasion recently came through town and hit multiple Las Vegas hotspots, we found one of thier large Bitchface stickers riding downtown on 9th between Fremont and Carson. NVAZN uses multiple techniques in their artwork, using screen printing and/or multi-layered stenciled images of Zombies in various stages of decay. Our favorite design of theirs has gotta be zombie Biebster, dead as hell and not singing anymore. Now that is some damn great stuff! There is more and more quality artwork appearing in the streets of Vegas, be it local or visiting artists. The street art scene here is growing by the day, so lets keep it going strong people!

Jesus Paints
Recycled Propaganda with a small paster of their Sacred Toxicity piece on an electrical box on Carson, the image of a respirator wearing Jesus rising from paint splatters. Recycled Propaganda is a big player on the Las Vegas art scene, an artist with a charged message. Seeing themselves as "A
socio-political artist driven by the urge to promote critical thought
and debate in an increasingly ignorant and apathetic society." Never ones to shy away from showing the real and sometimes brutal truth, they definitely grab peoples attention with their artwork. ......aaaand not a clue about the Asspounders Anonymous Z "collab" sticker on the front of the box though, now what in the hell is that all about?!

Branded
Visual Bluff and Indecline team up for a downtown mission, hitting those damn leftover spray cans from Life is Beautiful. To us the cans look almost as good as D*Face's cans, but there are too many inconsistencies that just don't match his level of craft for us to believe they are the real deal. Both artists uses large wheatpaste images to give these cans a much needed update. They have a finished and almost official branded look with these perfectly placed logos popping off the drab concrete. Some great quality stuff from these two, time for us all to step up our game!

Professional Weirdos
Avantarded; with his Professional Weirdos section of his collab with Olsenink on this wheatpaste mural of sorts in the 18b Arts District. Using his black and white on Kraft paper style with a wide selection of characters done in subtle different styles, perfectly clean lines alongside beautifully splattered sections make this piece come alive with all its detail. This wall at Charleston and Casino is gaining strength with the addition of such pieces, it is great to see Las Vegas street art move outward into increasingly bigger areas.

Perched
Olsenink returns to the 18b Arts District on a recent mission with Avantarded, both with their largest intricate pieces that we've seen thus far! Olsenink with a colorful piece that gives us a possible look into the empty Charleston and Casino Center building. Six windows with three bird type characters having what appears to be a rather good time drinking. With a beautiful night sky looming behind them its any wonder why they'd be looking out at us onto the street, maybe there is some beautiful metaphor we've missed? Maybe sometimes a good time is just a good time.

Uncovered
Until recently we weren't too sure on the identity of this artist, but it looks to be Las Vegas artist Deepcover, or is it? Is it someone that is using a character that is awful similar to theirs!? Cuz we are almost positive we've seen a sticker with this guy on it with the name "Gloves" written on the bottom of it, well we'd like to get to the bottom of it too! Either way, this artist is getting up in great high traffic spots and staying up with solid pieces like this. Props to.......whomever!

Everybody Say Cheese
Artist unknown paster found on the corner of Boulder and 1st in the 18b Arts District. A small crudely cut image of a photographer pointing his camera at.... Uh something? No added text, no nothing! Zero to let us know who this is or what this is all about. Is someone trying to advertise a photography service with bad vector art and no info, or is this just someone having fun with their first piece? I'll just let you guys decide on this one.

Let's Go Halfsies
New Zealander graffiti duo BMD recently got up big with two murals in the 18b Arts District, one of them being this weaselly looking guy sliced in half with a strange yellow cubed patterned coat. With Vegas written in his big blue eyes, this image is bright, colorful and fun! It really is great to see more visiting artists coming through town and leaving their mark with such a varied amount of styles.

An Apple For The Teacher
Coua returns to the 18b Arts District with a new graffiti piece "El Teacher" using his familiar black and white character on a two color background. This latest background has a sort of retro shape, in red and a very interesting dark mustard yellow. Always one to use the existing landscape and/or exterior, Coua uses an unused city value on the building to represent an apple in the teachers hand. Hmm...But I'm not entirely sure I want this guy to teach me anything with the looks of that math equation on his blackboard!

Art + Partners = Artners
It has been said that there are two certainties in life, death and taxes. Well you can add a third if we are talking about street art. Since first appearing in and around Los Angeles, art duo There She Is and You Killed Me First have been consistently getting up together. Since then they have branched out with their art and are still reaching to hit the good spots. Two completely different artists using different styles but always using colors to compliment the other artists work, and they seem to be having quite a good time on the streets together!

Get Lifted
Local artist/musician Dave Dave gets up with one of his signature LIFTED pieces on the Coolidge and First building in the 18b Arts District. If you are unfamiliar with his story of survival, I suggest you have a look as it is extremely inspiring. Using spray paint and the artists own self portrait cut into the stencil, these pieces have a sort of Art Deco meets Picasso feel, while maintaining a street level aesthetic amongst the tags and other pieces. We dig it!

El Beto
Coua is back in the 18b Arts District with another piece from their growing cast of characters, this latest named El Beto is hanging around just waiting to be found and photographed. Coua seems to always use solid black sprayed abstract lines over two bright colors to bring his art to life, and its great to see some quality work back on the crowded Coolidge and First building. It is starting to look a little rough, this is a nice addition!

Live Report
Los Angeles artist Abstraction One recently came through Las Vegas with some new pieces. These two black and white prints on either side of Olsenink's color piece really pop off the wall. Olsenink's beautiful solid line work and Abstraction One's heavily detailed and messy drawing style work well together. All three are prints of hand drawn pieces by the artists, pasted and lined up for display. Great stuff!
